This is a new event designed to expand the number of events available for small bore engine competition.

General Information

Pilot check-in at 0900 (9:00 AM)

Flying starts at 1000 (10:00 AM)


All events will be conducted in accordance with AMA regulations regarding control line models and the particular event being flown, except as is otherwise specified in these rules.   All AMA Safety rules will be strictly enforced.

Engine Requirements/Restrictions

Engine displacement will be up to .099 (1.5cc) or smaller for all events except the Rat Racing event where the engine size will be limited to 1cc (.061).   Displacement for Multi-engine scale is not cumulative, however the maximum displacement is .099 per engine

Event Descriptions



STUNT

The Stunt pattern will be that of the AMA Beginner Class.   Click HERE to view the AMA rules.   These are big files and may take a moment to load.   Use your "back" arrow to return to this page

The pattern will consist of the following:

  -  Take off and level flight
  -  Wingover(not reverse)
  -  Three inside loops
  -  Three outside loops
  -  Two inside square loops
  -  Two round horizontal eights
  -  Two overhead eights
  -  Landing



RAT RACE

42’0” to 42’6” center of handle to center of airplane

Qualifying rounds 50 laps with one pit stop

Finals are 100 laps with three pit stops

No less than two, nor more than three airplanes per race




SINGLE ENGINE SCALE

This will be a profile scale event with scores consisting of static judging and flight points




MULTI ENGINE SCALE

This will be a profile scale event with scores consisting of static judging and flight points

Directions to the Air Zoo

The Air Zoo is off I-94 Exit 78, 1 mile South on Portage Road, just past Milham Road.   Look for Air Zoo Entrance on left. (East side of Portage Road).   Signs will direct you to the Fun Fly.
